Default fuel problems

I'm new to these s-10 blazers guys so please bare with me. I have a 2000 model 4 door w/4.3 . I was having problems running out of fuel if I let the tank get below 1/2 full. The truck would also act like it was starving for fuel if you accelerated hard. I changed the fuel pump and it fixed it for about a week and then the same problem of starvation at hard acceleration came back. Any thoughts or previos experience with these problems?

What brand of pump did you use?

Have you connected a fuel pressure gauge and verified proper pressure (55-60psi key-on, engine-off)? If you get yourself a gauge, try to connect it and have it displayed somewhere that you can see it as you drive down the road when all of the other conditions are right for the problem to occur.

It is on the fuel rail that is towards the driver side of the intake manifold. It should be readily visible. You will have to remove a cap prior to connecting the gauge.

Airtech pumps are not known for their reliability.
