fuel problems
My 96 blazer. Just started experiencing problems with getting fuel. It starts and idles fine until i press the accelerator it wants to die trying to push the pedal to drive faster than 20 mph. Stitters with just a slight amount of gas and dies.. Restarts just fine. Fuel pump was replaced a few months ago, could this just be a fuel filter as rhat has never been replaced..thanks in advance!
Light stuff only. Plugs, wires, alternator, starter, battery, oil change, air filter is all ive done. its got a lot of miles but engine seems strong. Starts everytime and no leaks. im sure its to the point im gonna have to replace a lot. if i could get this fuel thing handled i could get to work and back to have money to replace more stuff if needed. Thanks bud!
What brand of pump did you use? If it wasn't AC Delco or Delphi it could be the pump has gone bad again. These trucks don't like any other type! Have you done a pressure and leak down test yet? If not a quick search on here will explain how its done
Was a ac delco...i have not done those checks..i have a friend master tech with all the goodies in his shop but hes a busy guy hard to get a mechanic.to work on cars aftet work lol..i appreciate any help and advice guys! Not a car guy but im sure i can figure out some basic wrenching, he did give me free reign of his shop.
