Default Fuel pump/sending unit

I have a 96 blazer 4.3 that seems to have a bad fuel pump. I am trying to order a new one but unsure if I can order the fuel pump itself or if I need the entiresending unit as well. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Any help is appreciated.

i think its all one unit at least in mine it is. I just put 3 pumps in the past 1000 miles in my 99 2dr 4.3 vortec. I suggest getting the best one u can and that it is OE i had bad experience with offbrands like Airtex. My new pump is a bosch lifetime warrenty i herd ac delco is the way to go

hope this helps

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately that website does not list acdelco or bosch as a fuelpumpoption for the 96 blazer. Does anyone know a good website that would sell either of these at a good price? Also does anyone know if it is possible to test the fuel pump wire at the fuel pump without lowering the fuel tank? I have removed the skid plate and it seems very difficult to access the wires. Thanks for any help.

yea i went to advanced auto to get my pumps all 3. i paid 340 for my airtex witch is aftermarket it had a one year warrenty I put 2 of those in my truck within 2 month period. Then after it died again i had advaced replace it with a bosch witch has a lifetime warrenty. i have been 260 miles so far and no problems.

Now for the wiring to get to it a little easier i unbolted my filler tube.I took off my gas cap and took out the bolts. Then i loosend my tank straps (dont take out the bolts) just enough to get my hand in the back wheel wells. hopefully that helps
