Gas Mileage?

Default Gas Mileage?

Ok so i have had my blazer for 6 months now and im wondering if it is just me i get 11 to 13 miles to the gallon at best(city)dont do much highway.Is that good or bad anyways. Its a 1996 ls 2dr 4wd 4.3 v6 with 126.xxx. So far i have put New oil,New tires,Spark plugs,fuel filter,K&n air filter,water pump,and some oher thing i cant remember.what do you git and what would you suggest to increases it

In the spring time when my blazer was stock I was getting 16/17 mpg city with 130k. But that was righ after I did plugs/wires/cap/rotor/air filter/ fuel filter/and an oil change.

i know i have replaced the wires,and im a new so dont flame cap,rotor is where and what

He's talking about the distributor cap and the rotor under the cap.

ok thx for answering my ? rriddle3.Would i see any increase if i replaced it and would there be anything else i need to look at

I doubt that you would see a measurable increase, but I've always considered changing them to be part of a standard tune-up along with the plugs. Are you having any driveability problems like stumbling, rough idle, throttle hesitation, etc? How's your driving technique, smooth and easy, or make it move now? How's the tire pressure? What does the temperature gauge read?
