98 4x4 4 door blazer.gas gauge not working correct.i found ground wire by the vent solenoid on the cross member wire brushed to make better ground.the wires go to the tank(two of them)the other goes to the gas filler tube.wich i believe is the ground strap.it is not a wire it is a strap type thing.it looks very frail.to me it looks like it is for when you fill gas tank it grounds so it wont spark.that is my ?.what does that strap thing for and also where is the ground strap for the gas tank that i have been reading about ?
