Gasket At Throttle Body
Hi All,
When I use a smoke machine to check for vacuum leaks I get a lot of smoke out of the top of the throttle body where the plastic cover is over the throttle body that leads to the air filter box. The large T nut is as tight as possible. Should there be a gasket/o-ring here? I have nothing.
Thanks,
RTJ49

There is a seal built in to the plastic elbow. You can see it if you remove the elbow. They do wear out and, even though it's removable, it's not available separately. It's about 100 bucks to replace the whole elbow. If you've been thinking about a new cold air intake, this might be the time.
