Default gauge lights

Several of the gauge lights in my kids 2001 4X4 Blazer go off and then come back on when they feel like it. The mileage gage and the gear gage do this. Might the dimmer switch need to be replaced?

It most likely is cold solder joints in the instrument cluster. There are other threads that detail this scenario.

Default gauge cluster

Thanks for the direction to some other links. I am going to drop the gauge cluster using instructions I found on another thread this weekend and check the pins to see if they need to be cold soldered due to small cracks. I will be using a magnifying glass as well. I will let you know how it goes and what the result is.----
