dude...


I was told they run a system check on the computer too see the drivers driving habits. if they see constant high rpm and negligence they will void the warranty. ie : abuse while cold,etc. not sure how true this is

They dont have any system recall in the computer they are trying to scare you

Keep ALL paperwork on this one. I'm thinking something fell in but it wasn't carbon. Unless it's a diamond (which is carbon when all is said and done) it will generally powder under compression. I'll bet a nut or washer fell in. A 12 month warranty on an engine with that many miles is a good deal.

If you abuse the engine though, it will show. Rockers and valve stems will show if you over rev the engine too many times. Factory reps have seen it all before and know the engines inside and out. Maybe the mechanic might not catch evidence of abuse but the rotating rep will.
