Hard Starts after New Fuel Pump
My Blazer is a winter only vehicle for us here in ND. I replaced the fuel pump after it died two summers ago, and ever since it's like it doesn't get enough fuel at start up. I have to press on the gas a little while starting to get it to start, kind of like an old carburetor car. Once it's started it runs great. I've just been living with it since it's not a big deal.
I was just wondering what might be causing it. I did the replace the filter when replacing the pump. It's an Airtex fuel pump. It is not leaking fuel anywhere.

More than likely that's the problem. Fuel delivery is critical on this engine and aftermarket fuel pumps, (especially Airtex) don't make the grade. Need to use genuine AC Delco or Delphi pumps only.
