Took it to the dealer for a diag and said it didn't throw any codes while they were driving it but that two motor mounts and the transmission were bad. This doesn't seem like something that would cause the car to have the hesitation that it is experiencing on acceleration or the fluttering it has at cursing speeds. Anyone experience this issue?

I can't see bad mounts causing a hesitation...

Did they do any live data analysis while driving the vehicle under the conditions the problem occurs?

Not sure swartlkk. The service writer I check it into wasn't there so I got a call from someone else who may have been the operator and she wasn't able to answer my questions very well. Going over to the dealer in person in a bit to find out what they did to test it.

Small side note, where can I order a new motor from?

At first the dealer said it was the motor mounts causing the problem. They didn't drive it more then a few minutes so I asked if they would drive with me so I could show them the problem. Received a call two days later and they determined that the distributor rotor and cap had a lot of corrosion build up. They wanted $960+ to put a new distributor in it.

I had put a auto zone bought distributor, rotor and cap in about 9 months ago and so I decided to do the work my self. Went and swapped the parts under warranty and it is running pretty well.

A failure in a recently replaced component is one of the most often overlooked problems that can really drive you crazy! Glad you got it all fixed up!

Did you try the throttle body control module yet i heard that could do it. I have spent 2 months working on mine everyday trying to fiqure out a simular problem. But take it to a mechanic to get them to fiqure out the problem first. I heard gone are the days of just replacing the parts. I hope it works out for you.

If yours is still doing it, heres a couple things to look into: Ignition module and the moisture under your distributer cap. Spray some wd-40 under your distributer cap. It will get the moisture out.

If it still persists, then look into a ignition module. They are 75 at autozone so lets hope that the wd-40 works. Much cheaper and easier If you have figured it out and got it fixed, awesome. If not, then try out that little trick

For those that didn't see my post above. It ended up being my distributor rotor and cap. They had some corrosion built up. Happened in such a short time but there was a lot of rain this year so maybe that is what caused it.

Default 1997 Chevy Blazer 4.3

I have kind of the same problem with my blazer. It will hestitate and act like it doesn't want to go when first started until it is up to normal running temperature. The service light is on but not blinking. The fuel pump was replaced in it too. Just wondering if I would be able to get an idea of what it might be. I am going to take it in to Auto Zone and see what the check engine light says. So any other suggestions?
