Default HID lights cause static?

Okay, my bad if wrong spot, lol.

Anyways, recently I have noticed whenever I turn my headlights on, I get interference with the radio. I noticed all the further stations have much more static, and it drives me nuts.

I flip to my High Beams, and it goes away. Turn the lights off, the issue goes away, so this leads me to the issue being my HID lights.

I mounted the Ballasts right behind the grill, and just checked if everything was still tight. Nothing looked out of place.

Does anybody else have/had this issue? |

Sure did. I blame the cheap ballasts. Let me guess, HID Extra..? If you are still in their warranty period, they will send you another cheap set that will do the same thing.

yeah my set from hid extra does the same thing. Luckily they are my hi beams. The ones i got from DDM tuning for the low beams are fine.

I'll have to check them out.

HAHA!

uhh...

I actually don't know who makes them. I bet you it's some Chinese eBay kit, though.

The guy I bought the truck from bought them for me.
Guess he's getting an e-mail from me!

*EDIT*

Just looked at the shipping box, and the return address says "DDM SD". So I'm guessing they are from DDM Tuning. The site says they have a lifetime warranty. hmm...
