Default How to install a new HO Alternator?? Need Help!!

Need help install a new H0 alternator on a 2000 Chevy Blazer 4.3L V6 4X4. The new HO alternator is a DC Power 185A OEM high output. Just needed someone to list the steps involved in replacing a stock alternator with a HO alternator.

I take it that the first step is the disconnect the neg on the battery, then the pos on the battery.

Then take off the serpurtine belt off the pulley using the belt tensioner.

Then Disconnect the wires from the alterator, should be on the back of alternator. And the harness as well, discnnect that.

The loosen the 3 bolts that hold the alternator in place, take out the bolts and pop off the stock alternator using a rubber mallet.

Then I guess I do the reverse to get it back together?? Sound correct??

What is the best way to get the belt back on??

Thanks and hope you can help me out.
