Default How wide is a 1998 Blazer 4x4 rear axle without ZR2 ?

I think a junkyard sold me an incorrect axle. They sold it to me as a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4x4 without ZR2 but it is about 2" shorter than the axle in my 1999 GMC Jimmy 4x4. Measuring from inside, hub mounting plate to hub mounting plate it's about 49" but my Jimmy is about 51".
How wide should a 1998 Blazer 4x4 rear axle be?

Is your Jimmy a 2 or 4 door?
I will measure the one in my '02 4 door, 4wd.
I will measure from side to side, below the diff.

Measured between the backing plates and right at 51"

Sounds like they may have sold you a RWD axle.

Is this a Blazer you measured or a Jimmy? I was hoping someone
would have a measurement for a similar 4x4 Blazer, 2nd Gen, preferably 1998 or 1999

2wd 54.5"
4wd 59"
ZR2 63"

Rear end widths are measured from wheel mounting flange on axle to wheel mounting flange on axle (not backing plate). Yours should be 59"
