I hate my turn signal blinkers!
For a lane lane change my blinker stays on. I realize that I can make the lane change by holding the lever part way with one hand and making the turn one-handed. However, lane changes in my city can be complicated affairs, and I want to use both hands on the wheel.
The problem is that a lane change is not enough angle to coax the lever to click back to horizontal. The problem is exacerbated because the clicking sound from the flasher is so slight. As a result I often find myself in the thick of traffic with a blinker on - undoubtably confusing everyone until a loud buzzer reveals the problem.
Is there a different mechanism I can substitute for the one that's in there? How about a louder blinker sound?

Sounds like the multifunction switch is operating as designed. You could easily add a piezo buzzer to the circuit which would be more audible than the flasher unit. They are available in several different Db output levels. Any electronics supply store, (Radio Shack, etc) should have one.
I'll trade ya in a heart-beat!

Captain is right, the turn signals are working as they should. You probably want something like this if you want to make sure that you hear your turn signal.

Or is there a louder version that fits in the same socket?
