Had my my 98 blazer for about 2 months and just about everything I had to fix looked like it was cob jobbed in the past. Well i took on a small trip yesterday and on the way back I started hearing a whining from the rearend. Today I bought a gasket and some gear oil. Took the cover off and guess what? maybe a pint of oil! Took almost the whole 2 bottles. To refill. On the test drive the whine was 75% gone and the more I drive it seems to be getting better. I know theres damage but hoping to get some miles out of this cheap fix.
