Question think i just got really lucky...could be the other side of the coin tho..

just saw an ad on craigslist for a guy parting out his 1998 chevy s10 blazer LS with a blown motor because he didnt want to take the time and coin to put a motor in it, (non beleiver that the body will out last the motors im guessin). called him and told him the parts i needed, 2 wheel speed sensors, the spare tire wheel regardless of the condition of the tire on it now because i have a tire for it, just no wheel for the girlfriends 1999 s10 blazer LS, and the a/c compressor for my blazer. i called and got quotes on all the parts needed from napa, $197 for the a/c compressor, and $350 for the wheel speed sensors. and from a junkyard $20 for the wheel. this guy is letting the a/c compressor go for 150 because it works, $250 for the wheel speed sensors, and the spare tire and wheel for 20 bucks, s0 $420 bucks for the parts needed, all i have to do is remove them with my dad and then plug them into my blazers. let me know if it sounds like im getting bent over a barell again. heres the link, and thank you!

He's an idiot if he thinks he can sell USED parts for that much.

A brand new DELPHI compressor from RockAuto is $162.98.

Speed sensors are anywhere from $35 to $85 on RockAuto, assuming I'm looking at the right ones.

Add 5% discount for more savings.

Edit: you're gonna have to do a lot more than "just plugging the part in" when it comes to your compressor. Full system evacuation plus replacement of a few other A/C related parts since the system will be opened up.

things are always high priced here during tourist season (summer) i gotta move where you guys live for sure...thanks for the price comparrisons bill, off to rockauto.com i go!!! my a/c system is already empty. whatever i put in comes right back out, when i use the gauge on the can it doesnt even leave the bottom color on the gauge, then i stop pressing on it, and then just watch what the gauge does and it goes back down to nothing, and i just had a free a/c check at VIP, and my temp coming from the air vents was 112 degrees F on a 90 degree day. during the winter ill be the guy driving around in my gym shorts and sticking to my leather seats when outside temp is 17 degrees with a -11 windchill!
