Ignition Switch
Just a thought Would a 1999 S10 Trailblazer fall under the GM ignition recall that occured many years back? While the previous owner of mine never noticed any issues before i go and get all the parts i need to get it running i want to know if thats another thing to add to the list.
Im not asking if its covered im asking if it would have been under it and has a bad switch and if i should replace it.
Well OK then - If the recall you are inquiring about is the one about the key tumblers being weak and with a wad of keys hanging and having the vibration shutting the switch off it does not look like your affected - and to get technical this recall is for the key tumblers not the ignition switch as it sits lower on the steering column and is two separate units .....
I managed to forget that GM has a specific website for this, when its not 49 degrees out and actually daylight i'll go retrieve the VIN and run it through.
