Default Ignition switch removal 1997~ Help

I need help getting the ignition switch removed. I have the reverse torex bolts loose and the top cover is only being held on by the key switch. I can not get the key switch out?

I do not know why you are removing your ignition switch but if the key still works you need to put the key in the run position and there should be a pin that you push in and ignition switch should slide out. If it is damaged and key will not work you need to drill out the pin to remove it.
