Default intake manifold aftermath

Hi any comments or sugesstions would be appreciated, first off replaced the intake gasket, put everything back together, now the situation is this, I still need to replace the fuel pump, but after replacing the intake gasket, cleaned the grounds, flushed the cooling, my charging system will not go past 10 volts, checked the connections, seem good there, had the alternator bench tested good there also. battety is just a few months old any suggestions the the charging system not working properly after disconnecting everything just wondering if i may have missed something

not sure but I had a similar issue in a cavalier i had.. I'd assume theres a fusible link between the alternator and the battery... if you can with the vehicle running test between the alternator terminal and ground.. if you have your voltage there and not at the battery I'd want to say the fusible link may be gone.. just an idea...
