Interior light stays on

Default Interior light stays on

I cannot shut off the interior light in my 1997 Blazer... anybody hear of this before?

My guess is you have a door pin jammed, or broken. Look in all door jambs, in front doors, they are on the sides of the dash.

Or you left the dimmer control switch in the overrid position, or you have a over ride switch on the rear doom light and flipped it on.

My 99 blazer is doing the same thing, I think I found the problem, my back hatch is causing the issue, I will take the car to work and clean and check that area, will post my results.

took blazer to my shop and opened the hatch, cleaned out debris, took a rubber mallet and tapped the rubber seal all around the opening, cleaned the hatch latch, sprayed a light lube on hinges and latch and other items that affect opening and closing, results of all this is positive, the light goes out properly now, sure hope this helps.
