Default intermittent a/c

I have a 2003 blazer 123981 miles. I have started noticing that the a/c starts blowing warm air, most notable when I slow down. Then after a while it will start making cold again. It happens when its the warmest. What could be causing that? Any good fixes?

It sounds like your compressor isn't staying on. It could be the switch on the receiver dryer that turns the AC off if you are low on refrigerant, they are known to go bad. Also, you could be low on refrigerant and that could be why it is shutting off.

So basically, what i am hearing is that I am low of refrigerant. The switch on the receiver dryer is going bad? But yet it shuts off a/c when its low on refrigerant. Do you think I should get one of those refrigerant cans from the store?

It is likely an either / or situation. If your AC turns on at all it most likely is not the switch. I strongly advise against using one of those refrigerant cans from the store. I would have a shop check your refrigerant level to make sure. If you use a can and overfill it you can cause serious damage. If it is low then you most likely have a leak that needs to be diagnosed or you are just wasting refrigerant.
