Default Keep Going Through Hub Bearings, Help Please?

So this is my second blazer and i have nothing crazy done other than a set of Soft 8 Cragers on and on my first truck ran them for a year before the truck got totaled with 160k miles and not 1 problem. This is my 3rd set of hub bearings on my truck and im pretty sure im starting to feel them grinding through out a turn and make the humming noise when driving. I feel the only thing i could be doing wrong is could i be tightening them down too hard and possibly destroying the seal on them allowing water and crap to get in there and damage them? Do they have to be torqued to a certain ft-lb?

Looking at the Haynes manual seems like a straight unbolt and replace procedure. The torque for the hub and bearing assy bolts is 77 ft-lbs. The only other thing called for is to lubricate the driveaxle splines with multipurpose grease.

You might want to list what year vehicle you are driving.

I know for a fact that a 2000 is torqued to 103 ft/lbs. DO NOT USE an impact wrench!!! Over/under torquing is one sure way to guarantee a short life on new hubs.

Quality of said hubs is another way to guarantee short life.

Timken makes a solid hub, solid at farm n Fleet, Amazon and RockAuto. I was going through hubs, and discovered a weak CV axle was causing premature hub failure. Might be worth lookin at.
