Lacking Power

with these 4.3 blazers you should be able to get the tires to squeal without doing a brake stand. but since i have owned my 2000 blazer 4x4 i cannot get it to do it at all. when i take off the acceleration is so slow until it hits about 30 or 35 i think there is a problem. any ideas? i have changed plugs+wires air filter/ fuel filter/ pcv valve and donut gaskets which helped a lot i also cleaned the MAF sensor with maf sensor cleaner. any suggestions would be helpful the reason for posting here is that was the way i could tell there was a problem because my father has a 97 blazer and he can get a good squeal out of the tires with no problems.
also lately after first started the oil pressure will be around 50 and until its gets to 40 when i let off the gas pedal it has a major hitch that you can feel like it wants to die out, the rpms do not move at all when its happening but once the oil pressure hits 40 it stops doing it. any help would be great!
