Default loud roraing noise when cold, touchy pedals

so ive had my blazer for about 8 or 9 months and ever since i got it ive had this problem, when i first start it up, especially on a cold day, for about 5 minutes it makes a loud roaring noise. and also, some days the gas and brake pedals are touchy, like ill barely press the gas and it will respond quickly and will be fast, and the brake will stop when i barely tap on it. but on other days, it feels almost as if i have to press down on the gas and brake pedals with all my might for anything to happen? anyone have any ideas on whats causing this?

The loud roaring noise could be your fan clutch. While it's not unusual for it to "roar" for a bit (usually less than a minute) 5 minutes in cold weather indicates the clutch may be sticking.

If you rev to say 2k and let it go back to idle will the roaring stop? As for the pedals that sounds odd the throttle is mechanical so it shouldnt respond differently unless the engine is performing differently

no it doesnt stop. it happens when i take off, but once i get into 2nd gear it goes away, but if i slow down or stop and have to get going again within a couple minutes it still does that till i hit 2nd gear

I just recently install a new "Heavy" duty Fan Clutch and boy does it make the noise for a short while, put it goes away quickly. Also it kicks in around 195-200 degrees when the old one (ready to go out) would kick in at 210 or above, then it just stop kicking in. One pain in the butt to change out, but worth it. If you do have to change one opt for the heavy duty one, its better and will last longer, a little more roar..but one gets use to it.
