Default Machined heads... How do I set valves?

My first time workin on 2nd gen. I understand that u torque rocker nuts and ur done but heads were warped so machined them now if I do it like that I have no compression. Do I need shim rockers up now? About light it on fire watch it burn! Lol

Technically you would need shorter pushrods by the same amount that the heads were milled. The pushrods are now longer and it is holding the valves open once the rockers are torqued down. I do not know if they make shims for the rocker pedestals or if you will need to go with shorter pushrods.
I would start by finding how much they milled off to get the heads straight and go from there.
Surely it can't be as easy as punching some holes in shim stock and adding it between the head and the rockers.

Yea that's about where I'm at. I see the studs are screw in I'm thinkin it be better to shim the stud up. Rather then the rocker on the stud. Thank you for the reply
