Maiden in distress, having to turn key hard-95 blazer
Two weeks ago my blazer got harder to start. In order to start the car I have to turn the key past it's normal starting position. I turn it to the point I have always turned it to and get nothing. Then I push it a bit harder and it starts. The past few days I have had an even shorter distance to push the key. I am afraid that space will disappear soon and I wont be able to start it at all. I have done alot of work on my Blazer (including changing my fuel pump and fuel injectors). I am a quite capable mechanic with great common sense. I need your help on this one, I just cant figure it out. I need to drive 800 miles on Friday for my childs Doctor appointment and I would like to fix this before I go. Please help.

Thank you Reelbroke. It was the ignition switch.
I want to say that Wolfpack's ignition switch replacement instructions were very helpful in helping me get this work done. I want to note that others had said to use a 4mm socket where the T4 torx is needed. I tried the 4mm and other tools I could think of to get that screw out at the top of the column and none of them worked . I looked all over for a T4 TORX but no success locally. I finally tried a T5 TORX and that was loose but worked .
