1994 S10 4x4 4.3l

I get 21 mpg as an average. Short hops mostly these days 7-8 miles highway plus 3-4 miles secondary.
Not being pushy when cold slow accelerations speed around 45-50 on secondary and 60 on highways.

When going far on the highway at around 60-65 mph it goes up to 23-23 mpg.

All stock with 175'000 miles on odo. Need new spark plugs.

Don't carry around excess weight, ie hi-lift jack, roof rack etc. the Blazers are around the 4000# range, it's tough to get great city mileage pushing that kind of mass.

Lowering it will help, but not much, and a CAI or throttle spacer makes no noticable difference.

I found putting it in drive instead of overdrive gets the RPM down slightly and the trans into lockup while driving around town.

My mileage is slightly improved after an oil change.

Electric fans help, but very little.
