So I am looking at buying a 1998 ZR2 blazer. The guy tells me that once its started it runs fine but he needs to use spray to get it started. Rattled off a list of parts he has replaced including water pump, fuel pump, etc etc....

What could be causing the starting problem and is it worth my time to try to fix??? I would really like to have a blazer again...but dont wanna lose my shirt thinking its a great deal.

Fuel pump is bad.

He probably put one of the cheapo junky ones in it. Buy a ac delco pump which comes with a new plug to wire into the harness.
