Default New (to me) '95 2dr 4 X 4 - What to lookout for?

Hey All,

I have ended up with a used 1995 2 door S-Blazer with 4 X 4.

Has 137,000 miles according to odometer.

What areas should I be carefully to examine on this truck?

What specific items are known weak links needing a careful eye?

I appreciate any and all information on this neat lil truck!

lol, here are good places to start.

lower intake gasket will blow out sooner or later
your water pump has a 80% chance of sudden failure at the wrong time
ball joints will fail sooner than later
tie rod ends, pitman arm, and idler arm should be looked at carefully.
control arm bushings will probably need replaced soon

you should have your transmission serviced ( fluid and filter change ) pronto... they go bad FAST without proper maintenance

ummmmmmm.....

oh yeah you might want to have the gear oil in your front and rear differentials changed soon, and the fluid in your transfer case.

your nearing the point in a blazers life where its time to replace a bunch of things to keep it a nice vehicle.
