Default No Clearance to remove Old Oil Cooler Lines

Replacing oil cooler lines on my 2003 Blazer. I've read a lot of posts here about it, and had no trouble getting the bolt out that secures the lines to the oil filter adapter at the engine. Problem is, I can't get the lines themselves out. I need about 1/4 inch more clearance. Is my only option to remove the engine mount? I tried jacking up the engine with a block of wood, but it wouldn't move at all. Also, the Haynes manual (yeah I know they suck) says not to jack the engine up by the oil pan if you're removing the mounts, instead use a hoist. I don't have a hoist, so will I damage anything if I use the jack when removing the mount?

EDIT: Really sorry guys for the redundant thread. I found another thread that was very helpful. Got the answer I was looking for.

And I meant to edit my first post, not reply to it. I need a beer.
