No Start Problem

No Start Problem
I have a 95' LT 4X4... and this is probably something pretty simple. There are only a few things it could be. I was starting it the other day, it was cold and didn't start on the first try (turned over ok). Then when I hit the key the second time...NOTHING. No click....no anything. The starter hasn't given me any problems. The battery is fine...lights are strong and windows roll up and down. The only thing is...when I hit the key the radio and the heads up display (with temp on it) both cut out until I let off the key. No other electrics cut out or anything.
I figure its either the solenoid, a relay, or just some random short. I just thought someone on here might have had a similar problem and help me track it down faster.
Thanks

Do the lights dim or go out when you turn the key to the start position?
If not, then your problem could likely be a failed/failing ignition switch which is a somewhat common problem.
Another problem that I have experienced is a corroded positive terminal INSIDE the battery. You cannot visibly see the corrosion. This would cause the lights and really everything to go dark when you turn the key to the start position.

No the lights do not dim at all. The only wierd thing is the radio and the overhead display (with the temp) both cut out when I hit the key. I honestly cannot remember if that always happened or not. I even tried to crank it in neutral in case it was a bad neutral safety switch.
