no start problem
I've had this problem for a while (no start). I will explain. If, I start my truck at 7:00am and drive my daughter to school which is a total round trip of 4 miles then get back home and go to work at 11:00am it starts up fine drive a mile to work...work till 730 come out it starts fine drive the mile home. That's the easy part. But if I get home from work at 7:30pm and start my truck up at 7:00am the next morning it starts, BUT if I let it sit till 10 and not start it at 7 it won't start I will try and crank it 4-5 times it cranks but won't start so I got to work t 11 and get home at 745 and crank it 2x and it starts. I hope you understand this!!!! ANY HELPS APPRECIATED!!!!!! Its a 2000 GMC jimmy 2dr it has 4x4 but the 4 low and hi just blink and don't engage. I'm also experiencing a blown intake gasket.
Your truck does not know what time it is. i would start doing the fuel pressure and leak down test procedures first to see if the fuel system is working. Also check your plugs , wires , cap and rotor for wear. If there is any replace them all with AC Delco parts only. Even if there good replace them with AC parts. there are plenty of post on how to do the fuel pressure tests on here. No need to go over it all again, then let us know what you found then we can get a better idea of what is going on.
