Default not starting with new dist cap rotor

2000 zr2 just put in a new distributor cap and rotor i was told that was most likely the cause of an intermittent starting issue. now it won't start any time, and i tested to see if it was a fuel issue with starting fluid and it was not it still would not start. any thoughts on what to check next. and if any one has a photo of the abs block i need to know where the 3 lines run to. i have a manual on order. and i have a computer reader that won't recognize that it is plunged into the jack

thanks

If it won't start with starting fluid, you either have too much fuel (which consequently can also be stated as not enough air) or you have an ignition problem (no or improperly timed spark).

Have you checked for spark?

Double and triple check the plug and coil wires at the new cap. Have you tried putting the old parts back in?
