OBD Code reader?
Hey all.
I have a 95 Blazer, and im thinking about getting a code reader for it. However, i know that i dont have OBDII. I tried to use a OBD II reader to scan my car, but it wouldnt link up
What scan would i need? I heard that the 95's have like a 1.5 or something of that sort.
Thanks

'95 is one of those bastard years. It is a mix of OBD1 & OBD2. Some of the newer OBD2 scanners can read the codes, but they are hit or miss. I haven't seen a cheap scanner that has the capability though.
so what kind of scan tool will work? i got a 95 also tired taking it to autozone and the manager was all saying i was dumb and that it was obd 2 i was like nah i dont think it is its a 95 and he was like yea then it is obd 2 tried telling me he could scan it for 160 bucks and that he would refund it later on a credit card, me and him got in a big fight and i wont be goin to that place again, fool was a straight up ***, so what kind of scan tool will work? i was thinking of a snap on ethos
