I am back with another thought and question. I wondering if possibly that the oil lines are my biggest culprit? That the oil is just being blown onto the timing chain cover?

Need to know where the oil leak is.
Remove the plastic skid plate.
Get under the engine and wipe-off any and all oil, around the oil filter, front cover, oil pan, bell housing, etc. Just get all the wet oil off.

Now start the engine and let it idle or pehaps rev it a couple of times every so often, and while the engine is warming-up get under it and looks for the first signs of an oil drop.

Will likely take 10-15 minutes, but you will be able to determine exactly where the oil leak is or are....highly likely there is more than one.

My '02 is leaking from the front cover and rear main seal...oil drips off the oil pan once the oil has a 1000 miles on it. I get two or three drops every night.

Trouble is to change the front cover the oil pan needs to drop down....and like yours it is a 4wd. Which means that the front diff has to drop down first. So this is alot of work.

However the rear main seal is much more......the transfer case and transmission both come down to access the rear main seal. That is going to be ALOT of work for a $20 seal.

And as Captain stated said the relearn must be done afterwards and the capable scan tool is not something that most of us have...including me. So there is the cost and trouble of getting that done.

ALOT of work for a few drips of oil.

Hey, at least on this post you did not tell them to get their parts from summit.

Replacing the o-ring will not likely cause another leak, Not much needs to be moved for the job to be done...
Trying to get some info on the oil lines. I know they tend to be problematic at around 100K miles. Is it common for the O rings to be the failure? I thought the Crimp was the typical point of failure.
Daughter called.. She has oil up front and center. I figure a Line is leaking. I haven't seen the car yet.
I will continue to SEARCH but I heard the motor mount needs to be loosened to get new Lines in there yes?
