Hello Js53et,
Are you saying that there are no hoses going into the 2 ports on the firewall?
And that the 2 hoses that should be going into the firewall are spliced together?
If that is the case, you won't have any heat. The 2 ports on the wall would be the
inlet and outlet for your heater core which is inside your dash. I am thinking that
somebody did this because the heater core was starting to leak and just rerouted
the coolant so it did not go to the heater core. Check to see if you have any heat.
Maybe you live in a very warm climate and really don't need heat. Try to give a little
more info also as to how many miles are on the Blazer and how long you have had it.
Lot of help here to guide you.

you guys rock
yea the two hoses are connected i don't have heat or air. i live in southern california so yea dont really need the heat. i have only had this truck for about 3 weeks. it has 132000 miles on it. its a four door 2 wheel drive. about a week ago i figured out all the vacuum lines replaced the brake booster. tires etc. so i have searched again and think im going to tackle the heater core. i see it should only take a day or two lmao. so thanks guys you've been a lot of help.

Meh if you dont need the heater often i wouldnt even mess with replacing it. it can be a pita. The no air is something else though.

Hmmm I'd replace the core regardless of where you live,It is essential to provide clear windows in temps below about 50* in high humidity situations! It is a labor intensive job,but it IS pretty strait-forward! Search this site;you'll have the job done properly by yourself! Hint:use your digital camera and take LOTS of pix during dash removal! Also lots of small containers for the multitude of various fasteners you will encounter. Have fun!

Ya it's a pita but its probably worth it
