Question Opened door and set off horn??? 2001 blazer

It was -1 here this morning, (not unusual for our winters] we had a little snow and ice over nite........when I opened the drivers door I set off the horn.....???

I put the key in and it started right up and the horn shut off.......I rarely ever lock my doors and they were not locked this morning.......

I am blaming the cold air and moister .........??.....

It did not hesitate to start and didn't shut down.......I don't know if anything has been done to this system in the past......??

Could this be a beginning problem???........I've never had any trouble with this security system..........I don't have a key fob.....and have never used one ...

Mine has done this a couple times as well, once was when I opened the passenger door from the inside to close it and the other was opening the rear glass after using the remote start. I just turned the truck off, waited a few seconds and started it and she was good to go.

From some of the info that i have read about these things happening..........I would just as soon pull the plug on the security system.....I lived 68 years without car alarms......

But I would guess that is would NOT be as easy as "pulling the plug". ??

I've been doing a little research on re-flash........It seems to have fallen out of popularity???........I can't a lot of recent articles......I did find a lot of positive and negative, about a guy at, wait 4 me performance.........but I can't bring up a website for them.....I get a Black screen??........

Does anyone have any current info on tunes and tuners??

....I've got my blazer running better than it ever has......but I'm always up to an experiment......I would probably keep my computer and buy another to experiment with......

I have a 13 impala and belong to an impala forum.......I see that a few of these guys have bought 'HP tuners' [OVER 500 bucks].........to change a few things on the impalas.....speed limiters for one :-)........my ltz will hit 120 mph......before you realize it, but it came with high speed rated rubber and a stiffer suspension .......so it is not limited......but some without these options are limited.........[with same engine and hp]...

The website includes the 4.3 for our blazers........

I don't think I'll be buying one, but i just thought i would throw this info in here........I don't think that I have read anything about hp tuners in this forum.......
