If the plugs have oil on them, it's burning oil. You may not see it out the tail pipe...yet, but it's burning oil ![Wink](https://blazerforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Edit: If the oil returns are restricted, the oil can rise above the valve stem seals, run down the valve stem and into the combustion chamber where the spark plug burns it off. Either that or you have piston ring or valve stem seal problems only on one bank... not likely.

ok heres the new deal this is my wife truck and since i wasnt gettin it fixed rite away she call her dad in and he pulled the plugs and said it was oil but it wasnt and it was on the passenger side they were just wet and the driver side was dry but full of carbon i started it today and held the rpms at 3000 they held for a bit but then dropped i reaaly think it is a pump going bad so this weekend i will replace the pump. it just so happens i have a brand new one in the box since i own 5 of these trucks / blazers i will repost if this does not work but i think captain hook you r correct to chase a fuel problem first

Did you actually pull the valve covers like the captain suggested? It could still be clogged oil passages. I'm having the same issue and have replaced everything possible other than the crank sensor and the speed sensor. Before I spend anymore money, I'm also trying to diagnose the issue. This surging thing sucks! I feel your pain! Mine idles fine until it reaches operating temp. I'm also wondering if it could be a ecm issue at this point. Those are my rabbit trails...
