Hey all! I posted a few weeks back that my unit was not shifting in to OD when cold,but that it eventually would (2-3 miles) On a recent trip to Savannah GA it started shifting hard from 1st to 2nd-but the problem dissappeared as soon as it came up,ran fine back to MD! Then last weekend had to go to northern ME and OD is not functioning at all,several times the hard shift issue only occurs after long highway miles,then when cold the trans runs & shifts fine (?) but still no OD! Here at home in MD it performs well after 4200 mi in 3 weeks and no hard shifts... My commute to work is 26 mi at 60 mph,so that is ample time to warm the tranny-changed the fluid and filter @153K in Oct-now have 159K. This is a 97 Jimmy 4.3 4L60e trans. swartlkk posted a great diagnostic chart,but I am a still an old skool wrench-and don't have the access to the smarts! What do you think? This unit is still
registered in NH even tho I live in MD and passed all inspection tests last Fri up there except this one,I would like to take care of this! Thanks in advance Bill
