Well today I was driving around with my windows down, like I do everyday. But when I went to roll them all up, the passenger side window would not roll up. I tried and tried to roll it up but it just would not budge. I pulled the door panel off and checked everthing and made sure that nothing had gotten stuck or loose or anything but it all looks good. I got a check light and tested all the wires going to the switch and the window motor and they are all getting power and are all good. I'm thinking maybe the window motor is locked upor stuck on something. It doesnt work with the driver side controlseither. It sucks cause I cant roll it up and i got to drive it everyday. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Sounds like a new window motor is in your future. If you have verified that power is getting to the motor, then the motor is bad. You may be able to help the window up if the motor is just weak, but if not, then it sounds like it is time to replace it.

when i get my blazer i had the same problem but when u listen you could hear it trying to go...so i opened up the door, there were signs some one was in it before. and just unbolted the motor then tried that then it went so bolted it back in then it worked. so i odnt know what was the cause of it not going up.
woth a try i thougt befor buting a unit.

If, after getting the door panel off, you find that your motor is held to the regulator frame with rivets, the motor is factory. If it is bolted in, someone has replaced it at least once already.

Yeah, the whole assembly is riveted to the door panel. Would I just have to go ahead and replace the whole assembly? Also, is it going to be tough to install it myself if I just purchase a new motorfrom say autozone or from a GM dealer?

The regulator is riveted to the door frame and the motor is riveted to the regulator. Makes for a fun time. I am not sure if all of this can be done with the regulator installed in the door, but if you can follow the steps in the link below for the motor removal without removing the regulator, it should not be all that difficult and you would not have to remove the window either..
