PO 147 and PO 151, Engine dies at higher RPM

RE: PO 147 and PO 151, Engine dies at higher RPM
Ok, get this. A huge snowstorm hits, making it impossible for me to bring my extremely low powered blazer back to my house(I live in the middle of the woods on a hill) without towing it. I am too busy to do this during the week, so I decide to just let the shop where the blazer is at to replace the fuel pump. I bring them one from Advanced Auto, a 200$ pump as compared to a 400$ pump, and after a bit of complaining they decide to fix it for me. This is at 10 in the morning. They call a little later and say it probably won't be done till later that night or the next day, the mechanic who was WORKING ON IT had to go somewhere. At 3, I happened to be driving past the shop. There is my vehicle, outside, not moved, still covered in snow. At 8 in the morning the next day, they call me and say they replaced my fuel pump, (they open at 8, close at 5 pm) and say they replaced my pump with the one I gave them and it is not working. Now they will charge me labor for its install and removal, and putting in the new 400$ pump. This is some special OEM pump that god himself obviously created. Tell me, does anyone know anything about this magical pump, and what they think about the fact that they presumably replaced my pump in the final hour or two of work and then call me at 8 the next day to say it doesn't work. This sounds like a scam to me, now instead of the 200$ I saved by buying my own pump, they are charging me for it's installation, removal, and the new pump. This is a giant crock of BS.

I have theEXACT same symptoms and error codes on my 98 S10 4.3. Did the new fuel pump solve the problem? If not, what ended up happening?
