Default The power window (rear door) stuck in down position

Pretty sure the motor is shot as I can say there is power going to the door. Weak/dead door motor..

Two pics, for expediency:

Question. If I get a screwdriver on the protrusion the wood end of the mallet is on (I assume that is where the door window motor is?) pretty aggressively either while ththe car is running or the ignition is on.. will this help it go up?

I do realize sprays like WD-40 is useless because that is a motor issue and spraying along window track will not get to the motor..

Sale fell through when buyer put window down and it wouldn't go back up.

Hey.. looks like that thing I was banging on was the speaker.

And, also.. Window Lock was on the whole time.

Took that off, and was able to get the window up.

Now... should I spray silicone down the sides of the windows?

ummm, window shouldn't have gone down if the window lock was on. wierd..... Seems like buyer found a coward way to back out of sale. #downsethike #ubreakubuy

Before you silicone run the window and see where it touches the rubber.

I am somewhat afraid to do so. This window reluctantly went up when I first bought it. Almost made ME not buy it.

As to window switch.. went up from one on driver door. All other windows went up and down, except passenger rear. Moved switch off "LOCK".. and it went up. ??

I actually had to sleep in it last night and slept with that window down as I did not make this discovery until about noon time so.

Not proper operation ?

LOL, I hear you. When mine (2002 2d) got stuck a month or two ago, acting on a tip I got here I whacked the motor with a hammer a few times and it has been working fine.
