Ray Macs problem

my 2000 chevy has a problem with the transfer box in that some times the dash warning lite comes on to say service 4wd. Can any body give me an answer for this maybe problem?

well, easiest thing in my head to do is go to a shop and ask them to check what codes your truck is throwing at you. then diagnose from there
