Rear hatch wont "pop"
#32
Keep in mind, that when you hit the switch, to release the rear window, Your vehicle Must be In the Park position.
also you need to hit the unlock button as well, and then hit the release button.
also if you have a friend like mine... who just broke his cellphone charger inside my cigarette lighter, there may still be a piece stuck inside.
on the 1997 jimmy's the cigarette lighter port... has like 2 holes on the sides... and stuff can fall inside, causing that cigarette port and the release button not to work.
so it would have to all be removed, possibly could have fried the wires and or blown the little switch motor for the release ect.
anything can happen really.
Edit: Fuse #2 CTSY ( 20 amp ) , Controls Horn,MIrrors, and rear latch...
so even though my friend Blew the cigarette lighter port Fuse #7 ... some how that blows Fuse #2 as well.
I just replaced all the fuses like a month ago when i got the vehicle... luckily i kept all the old ones.. just plugged in an old one, and yay.
Only reason I found out this out, is because i knew the horn worked this morning because i beeped at some ducks standing in the road....
Then when i went to beep at someone stopped at a green light, my horn didn't work ha ha...
