Probably will **** off some scrap yard but when it warms up I figure I might as well practice. If there is a leak can I just duck tape around the hole? I doubt duck tape would work since the adhesive would dissolve, but is there a similar way to patch it?

Auto parts stores carry those push pins. Very inexpensive.

Mine started leaking a few years ago after a hard freeze that I assume ruptured the line somewhere in the rear. I never used it anyway, so rather than bother troubleshooting the line through the back panels I just disconnected the supply line at the reservoir, stuck a rubber cap over the hole to keep it from leaking, and disconnected the electrical for the pump.

Mine leaked right at the spot where it went down from the roof panel where it travels to the rear wiper assembly in the rear door. I managed to cut the bad part out of the hose and put a piece of 1/8" tubing in as splice. 2 baby tie wraps to hold it from coming apart and has not leaked since.

Mine froze and split also. More fun because I had an icicle of orange rain x fluid on the driver's side carpet. I plugged it off and don't plan on repairing it because I'd use it on tailgaters. By not fixing it I save myself a butt kicking from some crazy I may choose to squirt on the wrong day.

LuckyAce: the leak on my '95 was at the check valve which was located under the trim piece at the floor, not in the drop or tail gate. Just need to pull up the trim and probably find the hose has pulled off of the check valve.

But probably best to wait until the plastic is warm so as to not break off the plastic tabs the clips are on.
