Rear window latch squeaks BAD

Well I definately gotta replace them anyway because if they window swings down and smacks my dome again when im trying to grab stuff from the back i may break it

my old 83 s10 has the same problem - every now and again i coat the bar and the jaws in the latch with bearing grease - prob solved for a month or two - no more sqweek

I fixed the squeak. I superglued a piece of rubber tubing to the bar thats on the window and covered it with 1 layer of duct tape to keep it tight while it dried. Its been a week now and no more squeak. We will see I guess if that wears off. But thank you everyone for your help. I will still definately try your suggestions if the squeak comes back.

AutoZone wanted $20 for each strut does anyone know where I can find cheaper ones? Mine don't work.

The struts don't hold the glass down, they basically do nothing when the glass is latched. That's why you have to lift it a bit before the struts push the glass up. The problem is the pin on the glass rubbing on the latch. If you have a spare tire carrier, it makes it squeek even more. If you adjust the latch for the tire carrier it takes pressure off the pin. Mine used to drive me nuts too, not any more
