The couplings that connect the rubber line and the metal lines are leaking. Do I have to replace the entire line or is there a way to tighten these couplings or just replace them?
I have pics if it would be of any assistance

 

If you can carefully cut off the outer crimp, you can replace the hoses and use regular hose clamps (albeit high quality ones). I have cut off the entire crimped connection on either end and brazed on hydraulic fittings for use of custom made hydraulic lines before as well.

 

Are you calling the outer crimp the part closest to the hose?

 

Yes, the piece that crimps the rubber hose to the hard line. Just the outer jacket.

 

Ok then I would put the clamps on the part thats left.
And just a typical hose clamp w/ a screw, but a sturdy one?

 

You will need to replace the hoses as well. You need something that will be rated for the temperatures (+250*F) and oil use. For the clamps, they make some that are heavier than others. It may be tough given the size to get the heavier duty ones easily...

Basically you need to cut of the outer jacket about an 1/8-1/4 inch back from where it meets the hardline (i.e. where the hardline is the smallest diameter. Then cut it length wise to remove it. Use a utility knife to cut off the rubber hose. What you will be left with will be semi ****** hose fitting.

If you are VERY careful removing the crimped jacket, you may be able to salvage the rubber hose, but typically this cannot be done... If you cut into the hose even a bit, I would replace it with new.
