Default Replaced Intake Gasket - Idles Very High

Recently me and my brother replaced the intake manifold gasket on his 2000 blazer 4.3L and now its having some issues. Now when westart it it idles very high (about 2200) and we are hearing a whistling sound off and on. Also when we shut it off we heard the starter click a few times. Anyone have some input on what the problem could be? We were very careful in doing this and i couldnt find any vacuum leaks or sensor we forgot to plug back in. Thanks in advance for the help

All I can suggest is when you take it apart again, take a good look at all the electrical connectors contacts, make sure they are all intact.
Did you reconnect the cam sensor at the back of the distributor? I know that I almost forgot to do this one.

Take everything apart and give both the heads, block and intake a good cleaning on the sealing surfaces. Wipe all surfaces with brake cleaner so that the RTV does its job.

Have fun...good luck.
