Replacing Top half of mirror.

My top half of my passenger side mirror is loose and wobbly. Is there any way to unscrew just the top half and screw a new one on, while still keeping the actually base of the mirror.

I have the same issue... I adjusted the mirror so that it is close to the roof and then wedged a roll of napkins above it... lol.
