Default Roof Lights Quick Question.

Ok so a lot of you all have roof lights mounted on your truck. My question is, are they mounted to the factory roof rack? Or are they on a special bar?
If they are on the factory rack, how did you all get tem to be straight? When I mocked some up today mine are curved like the bar.

Thanks

Beef

Some of your better lights will have a bit more adjustment but for the most part if you mount something to a curved bar expect them to sit curved.

you can always chop some small aluminum shims to counter act the curve.

I have mine mounted to the stock roof rack. I only have two though, so the curve isn't really noticeable.
There is a great how-to with pics written up by Ken (kiwiblazer) here on the forum somewhere. I can't remember where, but if you do a quick search for it you should be able to find it. He too an old roof rack bar from a Jeep and put it in front of his current bars. I believe they are flat, so there would be no curve and that way you can still keep your stock roof rack.
